Why was this work needed?

The Program of Integrated Services (PIS) is an initiative with the potential to accelerate progress toward Universal Health Coverage and defines an essential package of HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, reproductive, maternal and child health services for publicly financed provision. The program of integrated services aims to address inefficiencies from existing vertical funding and service delivery models by advancing the integration of essential services within the broader health system.

What did we do?

We evaluated the status of the program of integrated services and identified opportunities for improving its efficiency and implementation, particularly in the areas of monitoring and supervision.
